Should the Military Have Allowed Bud Commercial?

First, if you missed the commercial, here it is:

At first, the commercial seems really innocent... and heartwarming, but as Phillip Carter pointed out today in Foreign Policy  ..... The military has strict regulations that cannot "suggest official endorsement or preferential treatment" of any "non-Federal entity, event, product, service, or enterprise."

What would happen if the military would have said no to one beer and allowed Budweiser.  Carter's article is really interesting and I highly recommend reading it.

What do you think?  Do you think this commercial should have been done with military permission?
